In a growing number of states, licensed psychologists (who already hold a doctoral degree in mental health care) can pursue additional, specialized training in clinical psychopharmacology—typically a master’s degree—in order to gain prescriptive authority. This allows for a more integrated approach to mental health treatment, where therapy and medication management are provided by the same clinician. As a provisional prescribing psychologist, I have completed this advanced training and am currently practicing under the supervision of a physician as part of the final phase toward independent prescriptive practice. This collaborative period ensures safe, effective care as I continue developing in this expanded role.

At this time, I am not in-network with any insurance panels and operate on a private-pay basis. This allows me to spend more time with each client, offer individualized care, and maintain greater flexibility in treatment planning.
However, I am happy to provide a superbill—a detailed invoice that you can provide to your insurance provider for potential out-of-network reimbursement. Every plan is different so I encourage you to check with your insurance company about your out-of-network mental health benefits.

I maintain a small private practice alongside other professional roles, which allows me to dedicate meaningful time and attention to each of my clients. While space is limited, I am occasionally able to offer services on a sliding scale depending on availability. If you’re experiencing financial hardship, feel free to reach out to discuss current options.

While I’m located in the Boise area, I am currently offering services exclusively via telehealth using a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform. In some cases, I may determine that in-person care is clinically necessary, in which case I’ll let you know and help guide you toward more appropriate resources. My priority is ensuring you receive the level of care that best fits your needs.

I also work at Idaho State University’s Integrated Mental Health Clinic in Meridian, Idaho, where I provide in-person medication management and can serve as an in-network provider for most major insurances. This clinic also offers significantly reduced rates for uninsured patients, helping to make care more accessible for those experiencing financial hardship. Click here for more information.
